This is an unconventional book. Its texts explore various research efforts that have contributed new musical knowledge and new works by drawing from disciplines more commonly associated with experimental science. It also delves into how these same studies have, in turn, enriched scientific understanding through their intersection with music. This is approached from rarely explored fields such as genetics, botany, and particle physics. Topics include mathematics, brain perception, and artificial intelligence, where composers base their creative systems on scientific principles. All of this is presented in a way that encourages reflection and deeper thinking, giving the book a subtle philosophical dimension beyond a simple presentation of facts.
