The sudden extinction of all animals on Earth has split society in two: the Celestials, who enjoy every luxury and comfort, and the Domestics, inferior beings forbidden from touching or even looking at the Celestials. Eva Salazar, daughter of the Minister of Food, appears to live a perfect life--at least that's what the media believes when her upcoming wedding becomes a national event.
